Good morning all you friendly folks it’s a bit over cast here but warm (27°), no sign of the rain promised by exTC Alfred, no rain at all since 9am yesterday - very much a fizzer as far as we are concerned however I am glad that I am not living in SE Qld.
It’s Monday, so of course it was coffee and cake as usual, one friend had returned from his wedding of the year in Tassie so we had a full complement.
This arvo I will be back out with the varnishing just a couple of coats on the wooden covers and it is finished.
Because of the cyclone Albo has called off calling the federal election for the 12th April so it looks likely to be called for May (probably 17th which is the last date it can be held) when I will be away so a postal vote for me I expect - I don’t think I have ever had a postal vote before.
I had a doctor’s appointment at 08-40
Now I’m back home having a cup of coffee then I’ll go into town for a few errands - library, bank mini statement, shopping
I’ll make an effort to stay out of the pub at dinnertime, and do some cleaning & tidying this afternoon - that should leave tomorrow clear for a minor trip out, as thanks to my flu bug & winter I’ve been more or less stuck at home for weeks
Morning all – after a lovely sunny weekend the weather has changed to grey and wet!
Had a very quiet weekend, did a little housework and spent time taking in the sunshine and reading (and overdosing on chocolate – back to the diet today!)
Had a long conversation with my neighbour regarding my buying a new mobile phone – I am now completely confused, I don’t necessarily want an all singing all dancing phone and I am also confused by the different suppliers and plans. Wish there was somewhere that could explain things simply to a technophobe like me!
Currently watching the birds on the bird feeders – other plans for today are some shopping and ironing
Another relaxing day at the Fox’es, knee still not good enough for a work out. Not that I would want to venture out into the mist and fog that engulfed the village this morning. A cool 4 degrees C at the early morning check.
I’ve just turned the heating up and will curl up with my book while Mrs Fox goes to her choir practice later, after a lunch of soup and toast and the obligatory sudoku puzzles…I’m only half way through a monster book of puzzles that I started after Queen Victoria died…
