Good Morning Friday, 3rd October 2025

Good morning everybody, It is a warmish day but last night the temperature plummeted to 13° and I had to drag out my cardigan again.

Yesterday’s dinner was a disaster! I decided to have one of my spicy spaghetti bols, put the spag in the pan with the sauce in a steamer on top to defrost and heat. turned the heat down for it to simmer and went back in the lounge.

Completely forgot about it (usually set my phone alarm for about 10/15 minutes) first thing I knew was the smoke alarm in the hall going off.

The bottom of the pan was black but the sauce was OK so I threw some rice in the rice cooker and had the sauce with that… (you can’t go wrong with a rice cooker.)

it turned out OK in the end, I scraped the bottom of the pan with a paint scraper to get the black off, even gave the stove top a clean. The kitchen does smell a bit burnt but I am hoping that might be the spag remains in the compost - am about to put them in the garden compost bin.

Have been surprisingly busy this morning what with the pan scraping, NAS upgrading, dividing and freezing Coles meals, clothes folding and putting away. Still a bit windy out but nothing like last night.

Have a pleasant Friday, look forward to the long weekend (Labour Day public holiday on Monday).

Take care…

Good morning - It’s dull, wet and forecast to get windy. Yesterday involved some distance to walk. A good job that it won’t today. A drive to see another doctor to the one seen yesterday. Mrs mart needs some breathing tests.

After that there isn’t much else to do and I’ll probably settle down to watch some TV.

Have the best day possible.

Edit: Well the doctors visit was more expected. Mrs mart was having difficulty breathing by the time we got there. Ended up spending an hour on a Nebuliser, which made the breathing easier. The side effects are feeling woozy. Spent another hour or so in the surgery to see that she was stabilized enough to go home. The hospital option was on the cards for a while. They did let her go in the end and now we’re home. She’s in bed at least for the rest of the day. Lots of pills and inhalers to come home with.

Good morning!
Dull , damp, and cool

I’m going to the Men’s Shed this morning, then this afternoon I’ll be using my new vacuum cleaner as part of The Great Autumn Clean and Tidy up
I hope to do the stairs & landing today, then the rest of the place over the weekend

So from Monday onwards I will be able to return to my hobbies of model planes or wood carving, or leatherwork with a clear conscience; all of which will produce more dust …

Good morning. It is a very start to the day here. Just a trip to the supermarket for me & then it’s back indoors.

Good morning all…

A grey and dizzily morning to start with, down here on the south coast.

Things are slowly getting back to normal with my Father in law passing away a week ago today. Although there is much to do with settling up of bills, dealing with utilities and finalising funeral arrangements for later this month. Fortunately, other family members are dealing with it all and not something we are too involved with, as there is a lot of family politics going on with this.

So today, I am getting ready to go on a photo shoot tomorrow, which was postponed due to weather and other stuff and that means getting my kit ready, charge batteries, cleaning lenses etc. Mrs G is doing house chores today and maybe some shopping later.

Have a great day all…

You know what they say, its not the destination but the journey that matters

Plenty of distractions today so not much time to check in this morning.
Just gone 10:00 pm now and there bumps and bangs going on outside, and rain is rattling against the window, as storm Amy is giving us a right battering, and apparently it’s going to get worse overnight.
Mrs Fox sang with the choir at the local church tonight and I was on taxi duty. Didn’t care much for sitting in the church, so after I dropped them off I purchased a tin of corned beef on the way home, did some mash and bunged some frozen veg in the steamer (stood leaning against the hob while it cooked to avoid black pans… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:) and waited for the call…
:taxi:
Sorry to hear about Mrs Mart, hope she’s okay…
