Good Morning Friday, 28th November 2025

A bright sunny day to wish you all a very good morning on.

I went out for dinner to the club last night with my daughter she is down for a couple of days to get a tattoo revamped.

This morning I finally went to Supercheap to get the stuff to repair my windscreen,

There are couple of spots that are bugging me.

One of them might be a bit tricky but I have repaired half a dozen stone chips on this windscreen already so am going to have another go. You can’t see the others.

Have a great Friday.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning All.

Bright and sunny, a pleasant change.

Big coral delivery expected this morning.

They are a very good company, never been late and well packed with heat packs.

That will take Kinga 3 hours to get in the aquarium.

I have been up most of the night, so hoping to get some sleep whilst she is here.

Have a great day all and don’t spend too much on Black Friday.

Good morning everyone… :041: :039:
A bit cooler than yesterday but still ideal for a walk along the canal towpath in me shorts.
There’s a weather warning out for heavy rain tomorrow, not too concerned because it’s a rest day with just the Tesco shop first thing, and then a run out to a garden centre at Wentworth Woodhouse…Probably the best food of any garden centre we visit, the pies are especially tasty.
:yum:
Broke a tooth the other day, it doesn’t hurt but it’s left a sharp edge that is cutting my tongue, I’ll see if I can file it down later with one of my diamond files.
:toolbox:
Right…! lets get to it people…

Morning all…

Weather seems to have improved but its still damp out, at least too damp to cut grass in.

Have the day to myself today, the wife getting done by her chiropractor and off to see her sister who’s a beautician for a makeover, a small early birthday treat meaning I won’t be in the doghouse next time I do something wrong.

Meanwhile i’m blundering around busy shops looking for presents.

Have a great day all…

 :+1:

I can’t remember the last time I had a day to myself, Graham. Enjoy spending the day with your own head - and saving up for a rainy day. Do you plan to put a Get Out of Jail Free card in your wallet?

So many questions, @Bruce: Are those repairs covered by your auto insurance? Is that epoxy? I am thinking that kit may be good to have around for surfboard dings. Might be worth checking out?

Oh gosh @swimfeeders, I hope you get some sleep. What’s the plan for the aquarium? Is this just a clean out day?

It’s deceptively chilly out despite blue skies and a sparkling sun overhead, but this most handsomest, goodest boy decided a kayaking session in order. He’s a great partner, sitting still as a tree, providing the stabilizing ballast, and wearing his life jacket without complaint (the reason being all the girls tell him how adventurous and rugged he looks in it  :blue_heart: :paw_prints:).

Off to run errands, not an interesting one in the lot.

Have a great day!

No, you can buy fibreglass surfboard repair kits much cheaper than this thing. This is like the dentist’s filling stuff, takes UV light to cure, so you do the repair in the garage then put it out in the sun to cure.

NO, no, no… You go to the Dentist! Save you a lot of trouble in the long run. What’s it cost? a few hundred bucks? Worth every cent.

That reminds me I have to blow the leaves off my patio too (fire danger and all that)

I forgot to answer this; no, the repairs are not covered by my insurance but the windscreen is covered (sort of) separately so if it is replaced then the insurance covers it and doesn’t affect my no claims bonus.

Unfortunately I left repairing them too long and the larger ones have not disappeared entirely though two smaller, newer ones have. It is a problem of driving on unsealed or single lane roads - stone chips are just a fact of life.

I can’t remember how many dings I have repaired in the last ten years but it must be at least an average of one a year.

Same here, on perfectly paved roads. I am guessing my high incidence is a function of living where there is so much construction with gravel and other debris coming out of semi-trucks. Two I got traveling the opposite direction of the offending truck.

FL law requires insurers to cover windshield cracks of all sizes with no deductible, but we still pay for it through raised premiums.

There are rules about windscreens and repairs and mine fails them on a few issues BUT as long as it passes the rego check each year all is well. I don’t think they even look, Though a crack affecting two edges does fail the check.

This was on the back of the repair kit, I don’t know if this is the law.
