Good Morning Friday, 22nd May 2026

Good morning everyone, it was a bit overcast when I went for my walk this morning, we had 3mm of rain overnight.

It didn’t rain on my walk so that was good, on the way home I called into my PO Box to pick up a couple of rolls of PETG filament for my 3D printer. After my daughter’s visit it was nearly out of PETG, it is the same stuff as your drink bottle is made of and has a higher melting point than the usual PLA so it distorts less in the heat.

Because the garden was wet I spent most of the morning indoors except for brief excursions to bring in the bins after the respective truck had been.

I watched the last episode of “Legends” on Netflix, if you have not watched it, I recommend it, enjoyed it very much. Good British series.

Enjoy your Friday.

Take care…

Good morning all! :sun_with_face:

An orchestral concert sounds like a superb way to round off the week Eliza, enjoy!
Nothing much to report from sunny West Sussex. I’m having a bit of a purge, late spring clean so to speak.

The scales have fallen from my eyes as far as sliced bread is concerned

Delicious, flavoursome, filling and healthy too.
I’ll never buy another loaf of Hovis again.

Have a terrific Friday forum people! :v::blossom::sun_with_face:

Hi

A very busy day here.

A site meeting with the Nominated Contractors.

I will have to move out to a Care Home in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

The scope of the works is such that I will have to be there for two to 3 months at a cost of £1660 a week, paid for by the insurers.

My beloved Marine Tank is going to have to go, they cannot protect it or keep the electric or water on.

The big problem is that I did not declare the Marine Tank as being worth over £1000, so it is not covered by Insurance.

A common condition on House Insurance.

It didn’t cost me more than £1000, I got the tank second hand and my then mates picked it up and delivered it.

The corals and fish where purchased as Juveniles, fully grown , they cost vastly more.

Please check your House and Contents Insurance.

It is well worth getting your own Loss Adjuster, Insurance Companies are not Charities and will try to pay out the absolute minimum.

Getting your own Loss Adjustor costs 10% of the payout, an absolute bargain.

Enjoy your day.
