Good Morning Friday, 19th December 2025

Good morning everyone on this very hot Friday - supposed to get up into the high 30s here today.

I was up at my usual time but by 6.30 was out in the garden with my mower getting the grass cut before the heat set in. It was about 20° when I started but by the time I h finished 30 minutes later it was already in the mid 20s.

My walking is now done as early as possible so as soon as the mowing was over I was off for my daily walk around suburbia.

Finally home with a chance to sit down I allowed myself time to cool before having a lovely cold shower.

Next item on the agenda was the purchase of a slab of beer to tide me over Christmas, once it was 9am I drove to the grog shop. It is only a block away but the days of me walking home with a slab of beer tucked under my arm are long gone. You can tell how far gone because the lady cashier offered to carry it out to the car for me.

Back home after all this activity found that my back was playing up so I took one of my Oxycontin tablets, currently all in the world is wonderful as my brain turns to mush.

Anyway have a terrific Friday, are you looking forward to Christmas? Are you ready for it? it is so close!

Take care…

Hello Bruce and everyone. Today in Bangkok it’s around 30°C, so it’s quite hot too. I suppose the trick is not to let our minds get overheated along with the weather, keeping a cool heart helps.

Here we don’t really celebrate Christmas; we celebrate New Year instead. Stocking up on beer sounds like a great idea. As for me, I’m thinking of loading a slab into the car and driving to my mother’s house to celebrate with family and my siblings.

For this evening, I don’t have anything elaborate planned. I’m thinking of buying some fresh seafood to grill, opening a bottle of wine, and listening to some nice music. That should be enough to make the house feel warm and cozy.

Hello good morning all.
Mr Swimmy sending you lots of happy and healthy belated birthday wishes with love xx

Yesterday I went Hinton Hamper a National Trust property near Alresford Hampshire.
The weather extreme the rain ,mud the puddles, I must be crazy to of gone out in it !
It didn’t put a dampener on the house decorated as different Christmas pantomimes .
It was magical the twinkling lights the Christmas trees the pantos Aladdin ,cinderella ,The Princess and the Pea and many more.
The rain was bonkers though.
NT Cafe …poor scones nil points , as almost raw heavy weight dough balls v v disappointing .
Coffee lukewarm .
I rate NT cafes on the quality of their scones,

Enjoy the day xx

Good morning - A better start to the day than yesterday. It rained heavily all day long …and we had to go out in it.

Mrs mart’s bed had gone wrong. The ottoman part raises via Bluetooth remote control but the system has stopped working. I tried re-pairing the bed to the remote control but it didn’t work, so the company is sending someone out to look at it today.

We hope to manage a trip to the supermarket later. The first one since life took a downward turn. Our daughter is still with us and she usually puts extra things in the trolley that we would never buy …always nice things though and I always eat them when she gets them  A small price to pay for all the help she has given over the weeks she has been here. Her and our sons have really stepped up more than we expected or deserved.
