Good Morning Friday, 13th June 2025

Good morning to you all on this Friday the 13th. The only bad luck that has occurred to me is that as I type it has just started to rain. I don’t think the two are connected :grinning:

Went shopping even before having my morning shower, just to get milk and a few odds and ends.

Wandered down to my nieces workplace (she’s a community nurse) to give her a toy for her daughter that a lady makes at my seniors club. she makes them by the dozen for disabled children (I presume through a charity) but she has taken to giving me a couple for my grand niece/nephew.

Apart from that nothing much unless I get the enthusiasm for a trip to Bunnings, There are a few things I could need though I am tempted to wait for the weekend so I can enjoy the inevitable sausage sizzle.

Oh, the rain has stopped, it only lasted about three minutes, not enough to wet the ground, don’t need it anyway.

Have a funky Friday.

Take care…

Good morning all! :sun_with_face:

A beautiful sunny start to the day here in West Sussex with a high of 26 degrees forecast. Possible thunderstorms towards the end of the day but hey ho I quite enjoy the drama of an occasional storm :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain:

A day of decluttering for me, fingers crossed the long anticipated move to Scotland will happen by the end of the year :scotland:

If I achieve enough at home today then I’ll feel justified in taking a trip to the CAMRA pub tomorrow and see what’s on tap!

Have a good day people! :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain:

It’s a sunny and warm start to the day. No rain or thunderstorms until this evening according to Ventusky. This means progress will be made with the work going on at the end of the garden. This is it so far…

Mrs mart want to go to a quilt and craft show some miles away. I will have to drive her there and come home …then go back and get her at the end of the day. She does a lot for me so I’m not grumbling.

A few jobs to do around the home while she’s out and we’re not getting in each other’s way.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all – lovely sunny start to the day, although apparently it will rain later (of course it will!!)

Beast was well behaved last night and also went out after breakfast without any prompting from me!

The meet up with the girls yesterday was great – as always! A lot of talking, a lot of laughter and, of course, we were the last to leave again!

Nothing planned for today – just some housework and I need to replenish the freezer with pasta sauce so a batch cook is on the cards!

Take care – have a lovely day

Morning all…

A bright, sunny and warm day down here by the seaside in southern Hampshire.

“Mrs G” is off with her relatives and a day of “girl’s chat”, to which I’m better off being away from. So I’m left on my own again to ponder the day. I was going to take my camera off to the New Forest to a bird hide and see if I can grab some more Kingfisher pictures, but I have to wait around for a phone call for my Father-In-Law’s occupational health nurse instead, so I guess that won’t be happening today.

Anyways, have a great day…

:+1: :sunny:

Good Morning Everyone… :sunglasses:
My walk went without a hitch this morning in glorious 20 degrees C, No coat, hat or gloves…
Took Mrs Fox for an early dentist appointment yesterday, so together with a stop off for a Greggs sandwich I didn’t get back until the afternoon, spent the rest of the day re-wiring the summer house. We had some coloured lights all round but John the roofer is coming round on Monday to put some new cladding around the top and sort out the felt, so the lights have had to come down. I’ve re-wired it so that some other lights will come on with the timer. It looks nicer at night with some sort of illumination.
Foundations look good @mart I’m looking forward to seeing what develops.
