Good Morning Friday, 12th June 2026

Good morning forumers on this, yet another, dull but warm winters day, don’t worry the chill is supposed to arrive on Sunday night or Monday morning.

We need some rain it is getting dry out there, it is not urgent yet but any rain would be welcome. BTW due to brain fog I said La Nina yesterday I mean of course El Nino.

I was up fairly early this morning, well, not too early, the sun doesn’t rise until about 7am and I went for my walk, first time since last weekend, far too cold in Canberra. I noticed that some of the Flying Foxes had returned but nowhere near the numbers as before. I suppose this might be a new lot.

Walked across the expressway where the traffic was building up for the morning rush.

Not much else has happened this morning, I hope to spend some time in the garden this arvo, it is pleasantly warm out there.

The weekend is nearly here for you workers out there, something to look forward to.

Take care…

called a different company about the conservatory glass and they turned up as in the area. the original company that did the installation don’t want to know so it seems. Now a question of making up a template and then installing new glass.
Chased up about the new flashgun and should be here this morning.

Morning all – more rain last night and this morning, but now just overcast and sun promised for later

Not much planned for today – just housework and perhaps laundry if the rain holds off!

Take care – have a great day

Morning all!

Friday has whizzed round again!
As per usual the end of the week means a jaunt to the Turkish barber over the road for some presicion mohawk maintenance with the various clippers and electric razor… sorted!

Next stop the Indian grocery, struck lucky, the fresh chillies have been delivered :hot_pepper::hot_pepper::hot_pepper:

I’ve been promising myself (for ages) that I’d get stuck into a very minor repair on a new ‘vintage’ camera I bought from a good friend of mine up in rural Wales. It belonged to her late father. Although in excellent condition and very well looked after I need to replace a very small piece of foam damping/shock absorber before using it in anger tomorrow.

On the left a tiny bit of the foam has come away. I’m going to remove the silver housing for access, cut and replace a piece of foam, glue the little crescent shape plate back in place before putting it back together.

The letter W within the camera tells me that this camera was made in 1982

This is a little task for quiet time this evening.

Have a good day people! :v::sunflower:
