If you want something more luxurious, hiring a yurt for a few days, would cost as little as £2000 (ish!)
Plus a very long queue to spend a penny - or so it would seem!
didn’t he say it was the last one two Glastos ago? He keeps changing his mind.
Wasn’t he referring to his own retirement?
He has now handed over the running of Glastonbury to his daughter.
I’m pretty sure there was a hoo ha about the fact it’s ruining the area’s environment and they were going to stop doing it. But he has said different things in different years, maybe it’s all to sell more tickets because people eternally fear missing out if they don’t go to the next one.
I have never been, though I do watch some of it on TV. I would have loved to have gone in the early years when it was much cheaper & the bands were so much better then than todays.
I think it’s a young persons thing, but only oldies can afford to go these days. You get whole generations of families now going. Entire families sitting there at their individual computers when the tickets go on sale pressing return again and again.
The trouble with such festivals is that the area is so big and there are so many people that you spend half your time walking around. Ladies, if you do go, take your bikini for the communal showers and don’t forget your “she-wee” and wellies!
I love music and have been to concerts, but Glastonbury never appealed to me.
Camping and tents are not my thing!
