Another reason for not paying £408 for a ticket!

Fools and their money £408 what the heck, for a memory that has a better chance than zilch of being deleted before death, well, each to their own

If one had the prescence of mind, one could calculate how many hours of work it would take to accumulate £408.00 if in the final analysis, that proves to be the truth

Could dampen one’s Levi’s too if the que was excessively long! :open_mouth:
Especially after indulging in those festival beverages, all part of the ritual I suppose…

I’ll leave the ‘maths’ to you Spitfire - not my best subject at school!

The Libertines have done Glasto 4 times, if they are there again this year I might pop in.

This was them in '25

Can you just ‘pop in’ to Glastonbury d00d?

If you want something more luxurious, hiring a yurt for a few days, would cost as little as £2000 (ish!)

Plus a very long queue to spend a penny - or so it would seem!

didn’t he say it was the last one two Glastos ago? He keeps changing his mind.

Wasn’t he referring to his own retirement?
He has now handed over the running of Glastonbury to his daughter.

I’m pretty sure there was a hoo ha about the fact it’s ruining the area’s environment and they were going to stop doing it. But he has said different things in different years, maybe it’s all to sell more tickets because people eternally fear missing out if they don’t go to the next one.

I have never been, though I do watch some of it on TV. I would have loved to have gone in the early years when it was much cheaper & the bands were so much better then than todays.

I think it’s a young persons thing, but only oldies can afford to go these days. You get whole generations of families now going. Entire families sitting there at their individual computers when the tickets go on sale pressing return again and again.

The trouble with such festivals is that the area is so big and there are so many people that you spend half your time walking around. Ladies, if you do go, take your bikini for the communal showers and don’t forget your “she-wee” and wellies!

I love music and have been to concerts, but Glastonbury never appealed to me.
Camping and tents are not my thing!
