Why are my trousers getting longer as I get older?
Why am I unsteady on my feet…even without wine?
Why does my neck creak ?
That sounds really frustrating. It’s strange how the bladder can send such mixed signals, urgent one moment, then calm the next. It might be your body reacting to triggers like stress, certain sights, or even just habit. If it keeps happening, it could be worth looking into overactive bladder or similar issues, but sometimes it’s just the body playing tricks.
why is it that I imagine I still look like I did in 1960’s…untill I look in the mirror and see my mum …
Having to lean against a wall to put my socks on…

Having to hold on to furniture to move about the room
Can no longer beat any of my three sons at arm wrestling and they are all sixty years old or thereabouts.
I can’t even beat my daughter… ![]()
Being retired one is not dictated by any company when you should get up out of bed or when to go to sleepl due to their work hours
I do it anyway realspeed, force of habit I guess…
It just feels as though I am getting slower, or is that really the truth?
Slow is the new fast, and fast is the old “maybe”
You have to look at your “Old Man” then make a judgement ![]()
I think I’m still at the same speed but the world is getting faster.
Strewth I’ve just realised another. It is related to speed. The speed of bending down to pick something off of the floor. Once it was, look, its on the floor, pick it up, simple. Now it is - its one the floor, is it in reach, think so, down we go, gentle, gentle, almost there, yes, close, pish its a bit further forward than I thought, ok, we can do this, reach, stretch, reach, yes close, bit more, should I be holding something solid, no, might be there. my fingertips have touched it, we might be good, shite, its flicked forward, right, mission abort, mission abort, we are going back to upright, what we call upright, steady, we can recover, raising back up, its mostly good, apart from the pain in the lower back, coming back up. Mission fail.
Speed and process of reaching and picking up things become like that of a toddler.
Oh and I chew on food a lot more longer now.
