Hey mate, no problem at all. Harmony is a great song.
It’s in the context of the thread
Just don’t want a hundred Donny Osmond songs that’s all
Oh, right! No “Puppy Love!” lol. Ok. Got it!
Haha. Millions of OFF grannies will leave the thread now I’ve told them there’s no Donny!
Superb stuff Bobby.
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road of course. That album will turn up at a later date too
Well, tbh I like some old Osmonds and Jackson 5 stuff. I grew up with them! Though we wouldn’t admit it as lads, now I don’t give a monkey’s what people think. lol!
Unless it’s Barry Manilow :shock::shock::shock:
LOL Ya, right??
Actually, as long as I don’t have to look at him, Mandy is a classic!
And ABBA solely for their musical abilities of course…
Awesome! I loved his backing band. Man they were great- Dee Murray always played a tasty bass line! RIP, Dee…
I seem to remember that ‘We’re all alone’ was on the B side (remember those) to ‘Lido Shuffle’. I loved both of those and preferred his version to Rita Coolidge.
Blimey! You were busy Yesterday Floydy. Lots for me to catch up on. Btw, the first single I bought was by Little Jimmy Osmond. but redeemed myself by buying 'Get outa me ‘ouse’ by Hustler.
Glad to see Enigma a fave band of mine, really Michael Cretu project, he was involved withy quite a few bands iin the 80s / 90

After4 the 2cd album Jens Gad joined, a very talented musician worth checking out if yo likie Enigma.
My personal fav band to listen to when all else fails to lift the spirits.
Always liked his creative philosophy as well. “Old rules and habits have to be rejected and dismissed so that something new can be created.”
I love ‘We’re All Alone’ by Scaggs too, Longdogs. He really takes it away doesn’t he? Really soulful.
Never heard of Hustler, not a bad song that. I saw the link and thought you’d posted Jimmy Osmond for a minute there!! I’d have had you banned for that:shock:
Nom, Solo - Very interesting posts about Enigma/Michael Cretu. I knew nothing else except those few albums. Must explore more, thanks for posting the videos.
Continuing the rundown in a few moments time…
No.429: “Clutching At Straws” by Marillion (1987)
Marillion’s fourth and final album featuring the giant Scotsman Fish as lead vocalist/lyricist. Fish went solo and Marillion carried on with a hugely loyal fan base, so best of both worlds really.
Clutching At Straws is another conceptual work which tells tales from ‘the bar’, an environment of which Fish was known to be fond of. This is the best song on the album:
No.428: “Live And More” by Donna Summer (1978)
Yes, this is a little different isn’t it? Part-studio, part-live, this is an amazing album brought out at the height of disco in 1978. The reason why I like it, apart from Summer’s fantastic voice is largely because of the final suite on side four; her tremendous rendition of Jim Webb’s MacArthur Park. The four-minute single was delectable on it’s own but here you get the entire near-18-minute towering song. A marvellous song from a very competent album.
Agree with Donna Summer mate - great stuff indeed.
No.427: “Piledriver” by Status Quo (1973)

This is when Status Quo really hit their stride and competed with the likes of Deep Purple as a serious rock band (unfortunately 10 years later they would turn into Chas & Dave, but never mind). A classic album if ever there was one and my fave Quo release, this included the single ‘Paper Plane’, and a couple of great album tracks I’ll play for you now: their superb version of The Doors’ ‘Roadhouse Blues’ and ‘Big Fat Mama’:
Hi bud, I thought I’d be alone with that one to be honest!
Yeah, terrific album.
