Hi Fender, thanks for sticking with this bud. It’s gonna be a long road.
Your three albums above are all in my list of course, but who can tell where?
Animals has taken me about 25 years to grow on me, but now I can’t stop playing it!

Yep, Fender just nailed it, Animals, I bet it’s in the top ten.
I’ve got you on tenterhooks now, haven’t I? The world is poised for an announcement etc.
Not quite top 10, I can disclose that at least
Just chillin’ right now after a few ales with my buddies this afternoon and watching Fast & Furious 5 which I’m bored with already, so we’ll do a few more shall we?..Gimme five minutes…
And so forth as I listen to a Little Steven album, we move on…
No.863: “The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys” by Traffic (1971)
A latter day more proggy than psych-y effort from the great English band and it’s title track:
No.862: “Get Behind Me Satan” by The White Stripes (2005)
The multi-talented Jack White and his biscuit tinned drummer sister Meg get into their stride on this fourth album. Great little video for this single:
No.861: Orchestral Manouevres In The Dark" by Orchestral Manouevres In The Dark" (1980)
(try typing that out twice!)
Oh this takes me back; more my era. This debut OMD album features the incredibly infectious ‘Electricity’ plus this follow-up which I remember buying clear as day on 10" vinyl. Remember them?
No.860: “Idlewild South” by The Allman Brothers Band" (1970)
The easy-going riffs of brothers Duane and Greg Allman (now both sadly departed) with what I think is arguably their finest release. Here’s Midnight Rider.
No.859: “Modern Times” by Bob Dylan (2006)

Funny how you always remember where you bough your albums from…I purchased this one in the HMV outlet at Harrod’s in '06.
A true return to form from the world’s most famous songsmith. Very thought-provoking video for it’s lead single too.
No.858: “Without The Aid Of A Safety Net” by Big Country (1993)
Just a brief mention for this one. It’s nice to have a selection of live albums in the list and this band never disappoint. Saw them last year supporting The Stranglers.
More tomorrow
Floydy i have a couple of the US Kaleidoscope albums also:) . BTW whn i mentioned 10% it was we have the same albums, then there arre artists we share as well but not the same LP`
And so far a few new to my ears, so im enjoying this thread and fairly sure we will have more in common as it progresses. Keepe em coming.
Hi bud.
This is the one I have. As far as I remember it’s a 3CD set. There’s also a Brazilian band under that name too I believe.

I get your meaning about the 10% of albums. Yes, it’s early days yet with this behemoth of a list. Some more coming your way in a few minutes
No.857: “Live - Bursting Out” by Jethro Tull (1978)
On it’s way I said the other night and here it is, the Tull’s double live extravaganza from '78. Had this on vinyl for years until I had to depart with some of my collection to make some space in my flat at the time.
No.856: “The World Is A Ghetto” by War (1972)
A healthy slab of classic soul-funk for you now, which I only heard for the first time about year ago and loved it. The original band War (minus Eric Burdon). Here’s The Cisco Kid:
No.855: “It Still Moves” by My Morning Jacket (2003)
Fitting well into the genre of Americana Rock, My Morning Jacket have released a string of deep and meaningful albums over their 20-year career so far. This is an edit of one of their best from this album:
No.854: “Generation Terrorists” by Manic Street Preachers (1992)
Wales’ other very notable rock band, the politically-charged Manics with their third album. What better track to sample than this slice of guitar-driven class featuring of course the late Richie Edwards.
No.853: “At War With The Mystics” by The Flaming Lips (2006)
Last summer I witnessed this amazing band live and what an experience it was. A massive explosion of fireworks, giant balloons, giant starfish and frogs jumping around the stage and lead man Wayne Coyne rolling around the audience inside a giant perspex ball! Modern psychedelia at its finest.
No.852: “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie” by Alanis Morissette (1998)
The very successful and cerebral Canadian singer-songwriter with her third album. Includes this big single:
Last one before we reach another rundown.
No.851: “Comes A Time” by Neil Young (1978)
If you wanted to strum along^…
Keeping with the Canadian feel for this one and it’s Neil Young again with his '78 release. The videa I’ve selected is from the later Jonathan Demme rockumentary ‘Heart Of Gold’. Much more Neil Young to come.
I’ve got albums from all the last lot (exept OMD)
Jack and Meg White were married in 1996
Oops you snuck another lot in
