What? This thread has been going since Jan 1st this year and is very popular, but rarely gets people posting who are constantly posting in the other sections. No matter, not everyone likes music I guess!
Of course you don’t “choose and album and post”, it’s quite clear how this works as I mentioned in my first ever post on here - I post the albums and you throw comments in, good or bad. That’s it. It’s not a free for all for posting any random albums. Simple to understand, Sweetie Pie.
I’m sorry, but it takes so much time, sometimes up to half an hour to ‘prepare’ each album and there’s only three regular people posting, great as they are to do so.
But I owe it to them to continue this marathon saga, so I’ll carry on doing it. Just wish I’d stuck to maybe a hundred albums and not a thousand. Four months of my precious free time has simply vanished.
I’m getting it finished within the next couple of months and having a long break from the forum. Social media is getting me down right now and I need to get back to real life during the summer.
Just enjoy the music and comment sweetie Pie.
Not rocket science is it mate?
It’s an incredible album, isn’t it? Play it in the car throughout summer, you will really get into it mate.
Hell, I really want to talk about it now, but I need to leave it until we see it in here. A long way off…
Yes, you are right, they are a sort of summer sounds band aren’t they. I have just realised that when all the doom and gloom of the winter has passed, out comes Boston, in the car, as loud as possible.
Edit: Along with Bryan Adams.
I’ll fetch some posters for you.
So what albums do you you listen to, Sweetie Pie?
Brilliant. Love early Bryan Adams, but he’s gone a bit staid and it’s Adams-by-numbers now in my view.
Mostly Soul and Motown for old stuff.
But I do like the modern Country Albums.
I am no use to you am I???
I will get some others to look. Sometimes folks need to be alerted. I can at least do that.
Just post this today to keep Ffosse interested at least…
No.96: “Blonde On Blonde” by Bob Dylan (1966)
This superb double album from Bob Dylan was released following his sudden change to “going electric” and all the hoo hah that accompanied it when he played live the previous year at Newport (or was it actually Manchester?). A wealth of classic songs fill up this wonderful album. More Dylan still to come. Two posts here, in the second there are two concert videos – one from 1966 and the other a more recent event where Dylan plays the whole of this album live. Enjoy.

I will behave now.
Oh WOW I love Dylan!!!
I have loads of Albums up in my loft.
We have met him too, in Bournemouth.
Funny old sod he is now.
No don’t worry about it, I realise this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. I’m not looking for attention, it’s just that I spend a lot of time on this and feel like it was a wasted exercise.
Thing is with Motown, I love all those tremendous singles, but that was basically the market - singles. There were many albums of course, but they were based around singles and contained much ‘filler’ amongst the hits, so I cannot think of any of the earlier ones I likes as a full album.
Come the 1970’s and those great legends began to make more ‘serious’ music, other then simply bashing a tambourine. Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations…they all had some fine albums later on.
Not too keen on country myself, unless it’s the more interesting songwriter-type stuff: Johnny cash, Glenn Campbell etc.
Nice of you to pop in though, Sweetie Pie. It’s appreciated and I didn’t intend to berate you like it came across!
I know mate, you’re one of the ‘regulars’ in here. Thanks bud
Yeah, I’ve posted quite a few Dylan albums at various points in here…I guess it’s just finding them amongst the pages. What I can do in the next post is provide a list of the numbers they are at if that helps. Plenty of interesting videos in those posts to watch. Give me a minute

A bit of a soul man then, Vinylman?
There’s some in my collection, but not that many. More of a rock music fan, and singer-songwriters myself. But I appreciate most music as long as it isn’t rap or anything in the singles charts post-2000!
