Hi everyone,
There are lots of games here on the forum - do you have a favourite?
Drop the name of a game you enjoy that lets us interact casual, competitive, or just silly - maybe set up a game night!

There are too many games on here which is resulting in less topics being debated in my opinion. When I joined on the previous forum to this discussion were the main interests. Now I don’t know why those that have joined in the past few years are more interest in what to me seem infantile games children would be more than likely to play.
Mine is photography which brings in a lot of interesting points of view , others may like to discuss where they live . It is not everyone has the chance to travel for example, and we have a few overseas members (this being a UK forum) who could talk about their own country.
I have been to several countries over the years and the cultural differences are worth exploring. here in the UK we have local traditions which vary from village to village and county to county. That also extends to food everything from the Cornish pastie to the Scottish haggis
Tco kick of that last part being half Cornish myself I can talk about the origin on the cornish pastie. It stems back to the mining for tin -lead-and copper when the miners spent all day in the mines.
So the pastie was designed to be a complete meal for them with meat and one end
and a second course at the other wrapped in pastry. Local folk law says that to protect the mines from disasters while the miners were not there they did not eat all the pastie, but left an end for the “knockers”,(elf/goblin type characters) who protected the mines during those unworked times. A proper Cornish pastie the pastry should be crimped at the top to stop the food inside falling out. Those who are ignorant crimp the pastry along an edge, totally wrong
Oh by the way the tin and lead mined were 90%pure .My cousin worked as a carpenter in one and got out a couple of lumps of both
