The actress June Brown has died aged 95.

In 2003 I went backpacking to Thailand and went to stay in a monastery for a few days . On arrival I was surprised to see Dot Cotten sitting under the trees with a female friend chatting to a Monk . When introduced I never acknowledged her as an actressi just said a quiet hello . She was sitting smoking a cigarette.

What a shame, I haven’t watched Eastenders for a few years now, but when I used to, she was brilliant in it, a great character

Panorama on now, it’s a programme about her, she’s had an amazing life, worth recording the tribute. Thanks Dot, you were lovely
