This is my girl. Annie, she’s a retired greyhound. She is my shadow, everywhere I go she follows. I enjoy walking her and she has so many ‘friends’ in the village who stop and fuss her that it often takes much longer than anticipated to complete our walk.
Dogs REALLY DO make life much better. I love this thread. I loved reading how you all loved your dogs and the special relationship you had with your pets. I’ve been with my husband for 36 years now and we’ve had 6 dogs and 2 rabbits in that time. In that 36 years we’ve had 2 shepherds, 2 schnoodles, a Yorkshire terrier and a miniature schnauzer. We currently have a 13 year old schnoodle and 3 year old miniature schnauzer who we adore. Loosing these family members is so difficult. One thing we don’t do is be without a dog. We always have two dogs. When one dies we usually have another one within 2 weeks.
Jake was beautiful and such soulful eyes. What breed was he?
Hi Annie
Jake was a Cavachon a Bichon, Cavalier cross .
He was a darling I loved him so .

@Ripple Your Jake was adorable.
I also lost a Jacob recently. He was almost 15 when he crossed Rainbow Bridge. I miss the little fella so…
How can people pick one dog above any other on the adorable stakes?
Its the same with Birds and Geezers ![]()
There is not one dog I’ve met I haven’t liked,can’t say that about people.
