Does Your Yes!...Mean Yes....And Your No!...Mean ,No!

There was a time, when I would let people decide for me…:open_mouth::open_mouth:

I found my “ NO”…so important to find your no, as some will take a real advantage…of a “ yes” person.

You have to sometimes stand your ground and say no, or people will take advantage of you. :grinning:

I can do it now, Chillie, but it’s not easy…when a friend asks me to do something for them, because others have refused to help them, my emotions can and do get in the way, I feel it’s my responsibility to help…I’ve never been a selfish person in that area.

No I agree with you there Pauline, circumstances play a big part. I would never deny anyone if I really thought they needed my help.
It’s the oh it’s ok Chillie (insert appropriate name) will help syndrome, being taken for granted. :slightly_smiling_face:

I think sometimes too it is the expectation which can irk.

I do say no easier nowadays .
But my philosophy in life is to say YES to every invitation whatever
I’m very decisive and I never change my mind . I have friends who say please dont give me a choice as I cant make up my mind .

My yes means yes.
My no means no.
My maybe means check back later for a final decision.

I was always a people pleaser and didn’t like to say no but I’ve gotten good at saying no these days, i call it my self care. Some aren’t too happy about it with not being used to it but they are getting used to it now and I feel less stressed for it.

My yeses and nos mean just that now.

Where have I heard that before?

Wasn’t that on some tv show?

Yes = yes

No = no.

I spent a long time dithering and it doesn’t mean diddly squat. I do solid decision making now :+1:
