I buy a Lottery ticket weekly, Have a flutter on the horses on the weekend.
Last time I went to a Casino was 1992.
Very rarely.I’ve had to earn all my money I don’t want to give it away to to some bookie.I was in the lottery at work only because I was afraid I’d turn up one Monday and I’d be the only one there.

Not at all. Never been in a casino, betting shop or wherever.
Th nearest I got to gambling was when the lottery first started, where I would do a handful of lines which I won a handful of minor prizes. I cut down when the lottery went twice a week and stopped altogether when it went to £2. Now they have added more balls means I will probably never do it again, as the chances of winning are astronomically huge. I just view it as a rip-off.
“Mrs Graham” may do a couple of scratch cards a week, but also doesn’t like to gamble - except rarely have a go on a fruit machine with any loose change she has.

Nope, the people I see hanging around outside betting shops swigging on super strength lager don’t seem to be doing very well on it. I used to sometimes do the football pools although I think that was largely about the actual process. It was almost a ritual sitting at home watching the results on World of Sport on a Saturday.

My gamble is driving the Expressway thru the City. It’s Crazy with 18-wheeler 67-73 mph and autos 77 / 87 mph.
It’s sort of amazing how the constant push to bet continues thru the media when it is so family harmful.
But you know Entertainment is just a rip-off in its own self. What did you expect. Paradise. Haha

They reckon Lottery tickets are designed for people who are bad at maths. The only people with slightly less chance of winning big are people who don’t buy a ticket

You won’t find many who would readily admit to gambling, on a forum, especially as there are others queuing up to say how bad gambling is, or that people who gamble are losers.
Yet gambling is a real problem and an addiction for many, and there’s lots of temptation out there for those who either want to make a quick buck, or who would love to retire early and live a life of luxury.
Or so they think.
I don’t even take part in the lottery any more, although there was a time when it was a regular weekly thing for me.

The only gambling I do is the lottery once a week (Saturday), perhaps I have been lucky because so far, apart from the initial layout of £10 to open the account I have been able leave winnings in the account which have so far paid for my tickets, so effectively I am playing with their money not mine! I will wait until I win the jackpot before cashing in!
My brother-in-law operated a casino.
@Bretrick The nearest I get to gambling is the monthly Premium Bond draws and with the maximum investment allowed, I usually receive payments every month.
Gambling is a mug’s game heavily tilted in favour of the organiser of the ‘gambling’ or the high street would not be adorned with bookmakers. If there is two or more bookies on a high street with no sign of a pawnbroker, then a sure-fire way of making money is to open a pawnbroker’s establishment

I go to a Casino at least twice a week.
Buy into a poker game for £20.
Might last 20 minutes and lose or last 5 hours then you make the money.
Pay outs are based on 10% of players.
A cheap afternoon out and sometimes a profit as well.
Also play poker on line.

I bet small time on the horses. Never more than $10 on a race.
Something I can afford to do, being single with no debt.
It is an interest with a little bit of a thrill attached.
