Diagnosed with a terminal disease would you accept treatment?

Treatment would prolong your life by 2 years, but it comes with bad side effects.
I would reject treatment and only go with end of life Palliative care

It’s a tough call but I would say it depends on what you have to live for and whether you have optimism that new technology could be developed in the interim. A good friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2016. She lived until 2023 because she had access to pioneering cancer drugs. Some of these had terrible side effects but then she had some really happy times in between relapses, including seeing one daughter happily married and holding both grandchildren in her arms.

It’s not something I’m going to think about unless I have to.

No,it would be bad enough my family knowing i had a terminal illness,to watch them see me suffer through treatment would be cruel.

I think many would say ‘no’ to that question while not faced with certain death within a stated time. Some could change their minds when they actually are told they only have a short while to go unless treatment is accepted.
