Desert Island Discs-Your choices

Each week a guest, called a “castaway” during the programme, is asked to choose eight audio recordings (usually, but not always, music), a book and a luxury item that they would like to take if they were to be cast away on a desert island
So if you were the castaway what would your choices be?

I’ll be back with mine later.

Since the survival book is too obvious, I’d say Goodall’s Reason for Hope (non-fiction), and either Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden or James Michner’s Centennial (fiction).

This is a difficult one, I have so many to choose from, this would require a long study first.

It is difficult to choose. One I thought of after posting my list is, ‘Raining in my Heart’ by Buddy Holly but if it there can only be 8 choices, it would have been hard to cut out one of the others.

I know, I know…

Really sorry, it wasn’t my intention to point anything out

If it has to be only 8, then today I would say these ones, but tomorrow something else will probably come to my mind, and I’d have to change my list!

I don’t think I know that one, but the B52s were a lot of fun, quite unique, and I’d forgotten about them, that era in my life. Rock Lobster and Planet Claire, two I remember. :sunglasses:

You are so right - big fun they most certainly were! I was in the right place at the right time to know this bunch in Kansas City when they were first getting a start in our college bars. I love this song because Kate and Cindy can belt the devil out of this song, especially live. If this won’t get you off your hammock to go find a coconut, I don;t know what will :sunny::sunglasses: :coconut:!
