Dame Judy Dench… one of the best.
She was born in York just up the road from me. My Father in Law (Jack) went to school with her brother and her father was a doctor, Jack used to visit Judy and her brother at the surgery and play together in a back room…
Has she died?
Not sure Bruce, one thing I am sure, she should not (and any other woman for that matter) have played M in Bond, that was a Man’s world.
I don’t think so Bruce, I think it was Bretricks appreciation of her…
I saw her in the West End theatres many times in the 1960s and early 70s. Cannot remember what in but do remember one play was with Donald Sinden

Dame Judy is still alive, going strong, most likely reading her next script.
We enjoy her work on this side of the pond, too! She has a very appealing way about her that shines through her performances.
