Crocodile Cull in NT

There too many crocodiles in the NT so they are to kill 1200 each year. Since saltwater crocs were protected from mass culls and hunting in the Northern Territory in 1971, the species has boomed from 3,000 to an estimated population of 100,000.

Recently a tourist was bitten at a swimming hole and about 200 are removed from Darwin Harbour each year.

Are they edible?

They certainly are.

OK, so I just googled it:

exceptionally tender and juicy with a similar taste to chicken and a texture like large fish. Crocodile meat is low in fat, but very high in protein

I’ll have one … raised on a vegan diet.

It’s eat or be eaten, I’ve had a croc burger and croc steak in Darwin. Everything tastes like chicken even camel.
