It’s old bank notes, so we’ll have to get it changed at a bank or see if a collector wants it.
What I can’t understand is why the bear ended up at a clearance firm & no one in the family checked the bear. They just got rid of everything I guess. Sad as he is a very nice bear, so no not giving him to you. 
I’ll find something else instead.

You are in luck! - the last thing I purchased was a Christmas Food Hamper from our local independent posh delicatessen/ grocery shop.
They’ve been an independent grocer, selling fine food and wine since 1899
For such a small shop, it has a wide range of delicatessen and store cupboard foods. It’s like an Aladdin’s cave at Christmastime - just going in there and looking around at all the beautifully packaged Christmas goodies is one of my favourite Christmas treats.
They sell a lot of delicious, high quality jams, chutneys, pates, biscuits etc under their own brand name and make their own Christmas cakes and Puddings.
They are famous for their Christmas Hampers - I chose all the individual contents of the hamper myself, adding all the kind of things I know my niece and her husband and 5 year old son like to eat, then I took my basket to the “Hamper Lady” who packed it all up into a gold coloured hamper box.
Not sure if the contents are to your taste but your “Secret Santa” Hamper contains:
Box of assorted biscuits and cookies.
An iced Christmas Cake
A truckle of Wensleydale Cheese
A selection of cheesy nibbles for drinks parties.
Box of sea-salt crackers
Jar of Duck Pate
Jar of Salmon Terrine
Jar of Christmas Chutney
Jar of Christmas Marmalade

Box of after dinner mint chocolates

I bought it yesterday and I’ve already delivered it to my niece this morning, so I can’t take a pic of it but your Secret Santa from me would be something like this pic of a ready made hamper from their online hamper service:

Yes we do, the turmeric degreases the maggots so that they sink quicker in the cold water.
For some reason, unknown to us fishermen, our wives where never happy with us having a fumble in the colder months.
Strange creatures you Ladies.

I’m so glad you answered my unspoken question about what the turmeric coating was for - I was wondering if it was because the fish were attracted to a bit of turmeric seasoning on their maggots!

My last purchase was a grocery delivery. Not sure you’d like my food since I’m a vegan. I mostly just got a bunch of rice and stuff. Maybe a bag of low salt crisps?
