Camcorder panning judder

best viewed on a full screen monitor the juddering from the Sony-AX53 camcorder is totally unacceptable. This is why I got rid of it. The panasonic I had before this never occured. Maybe I got a bad sony camcorder copy but this is crap that it produced. zoom no problem but the first few second are what most of the video is like. No matter how slow I panned it still did the same thing.
I think it is down to either shutter speed or frame rate. the problem is if I set it up for one or the other, other settings get altered and the is nothing one can do

I thought panning judder was all down to insufficient frame rate selected for the speed of panning.

I think that link I posted shows up the problems with setting shutter speed on this one

so as you can see those limitations spoil a decent camcorder
