Conservative former minister Sir Desmond Swayne ridiculed suggestions that Brexit was responsible for the shortages.
He told the Commons: ‘If only I had been told before I voted for Brexit that it was going to cause frosts in Morocco, I could have made a different decision, couldn’t I?’
Nice of you to pop back with another unsubstantiated claim. I’m still waiting for you to tell me what was promised in the referendum campaign that your BRINO didn’t deliver. Now you make an empty claim that most of Europe wants out of the EU. If you have evidence of this please do share. In the meantime I can assure you that before, and definitely after, the UK’s exit the people of Europe (with a minority exception) want and recognise worth of the EU. But please share your evidence that this is wrong and its not just a few talentless and nasty politicians stirring things up.
Funny, lots of tomatoes here in France. Lots and lots. Reasonably priced too. The UK’s problems in veg supply are uniquely bad. Deffo not a Brexit benefit.
There are here too. It’s only certain supermarkets as I’ve already said I went into the Co-op yesterday and there were loads. There’s also loads in the grocers opposite it. This article that I posted explains it:
Now that is good news! combined with the news that there are no veg shortages in the UK and that (also) the “EU is plagued” (Daily Express), everything seems to be great since Brexit.
I found polling results published by europawahl-bw.de about the question “is EU membetship of your country good / bad / dont know?”
the poll was done EU wide.
The result: 62% yes good, 10% no bad, 27% dont know.
At least I hope that the exit of the UK has made as many EU citizens as possible inform themselves about the EU, what it is, what it is not, what it entails, the benefits, the drawbacks…
My quick research shows that apparently (as far as i can see) the EU members are already ECHR members. Although it is possible for a group of states to join, I wonder wether it makes sense if the mebers of that group are already members of the ECHR. hmmm…

great, then there is nothing to worry about. Maybe except for the task to convince supermarkets to pay the higher prices. is there btw some evidence for the claim that they dont pay the higher prices?
