I have a small food scraps container, and I for some reason put it on top of the cupboard.
This morning at 4 am as I first entered the kitchen to make brekkie before work, clad only in underwear, I opened the cupboard door and the food scraps container fell from on high, hit the bench and scattered the contents all over Bretrick, the floor, the cupboards, the oven.
It had been a while since it was emptied and some of the contents had liquified.
Bretrick was covered in stinky rotten food, not a pleasant start to the day. I mopped up the worst of it with a bath towel which I threw straight in the outdoor bin.
I had no time to mop the floor as I needed to get to work.
When I get home, the place is going to smell really bad.
Mop and bucket, disinfectant on the cupboards
Maybe you should have gone straight to Accident and Emergency.
S… happens, Bretrick. Must say I’m relieved that the mishap turned out not to have been so terrible as I thought it might have been when I read the title of your post.
Oh no! I am just glad you didn’t slip and fall.
At least you didn’t throw in a match on your way out the door .
This will hopefully make for a good story. In fact, it already has! You are a good sport to tell this on yourself. Nothing a little soap and water won’t cure.
I did dread what it might be like when I arrived home from work.
Seems like I done a rather good rushed clean up before I went to work. No lingering stench. No obvious mess.
I did mop and wipe, all ended well.
Urgh! Sounds a nightmare!
That must have been such a nuisance, these unexpected ,strange incidents can happen @Bretrick , glad you’re ok and luckily we have lots of disinfectant detergents available nowadays.
Urgh, it was nightmarish, me standing there, nowt on but underwear, reeking of putrescence. needing to go to work.
No time for breakfast, time required to clean up a bloody mess.
Maybe not a terrible accident, just a stinky mishap.
If that had been me, work would have waited until I’d had a long hot shower.
I did have a shower. I leave myself plenty of time to get to work.
It was a hour before I needed to start work. Half an hour to drive there.
@Bretrick I dont faff around with scrap saving. If the odds-n-sods are not fit for the birds, then the lot goes down my InSinkArator waste disposer.
You naughty boy you startled me I thought something very serious happened to you…
I am glad to know you are fine after a good cleaning!
Yes, terrible Bretrick,.
Should have written, terrible mishap, mayhap?
