What about Germolene, Steve Wright swore by it.
Thatās the other end Spitty ⦠Vicks would be painful there.
Iāve only just spotted this thread.
I breathe through my mouth a lot , and not just cos I have a truncated squashed nose, but becasue my sinuses get stuffy.
BUT ⦠Iām sure Iāve read somewhere that itās a good relaxation technique to breathe in through your nose with your mouth closed and then exhale through your mouth in one long deep breath.
It works for me⦠I find it very relaxing if Iām a little agitated or wound-up.
As long as you can keep breathing is good.
Sometimes these scientists (misinterpreted by the media) talk a right load of bollicsā¦
Usually thereās some money involvedā¦
Foxy, do we need to carry off the folks in White Coats?
I canāt sleep if Iām forced to breath through my mouth when I have a cold, so Vicks Sinex spray has always been in my medicine cabinet.
Vaporub worked wonders for my kids when they were toddlers, following in my mumās footsteps!
Is Vic there
Iāve had two ops for a deviated septum. One was incredibly painful because they left a plastic device inside my nose. Removing it was sooooooo painful, (as was the time it was kept in situ) because of the dried blood and gunk, but the relief afterwards was immense. It must have been pressing on a nerve.
The two surgeries have probably done nothing to relieve my symptoms, but Holly possibly breaking my nose a few years ago may not have helped. I think that started my recent post nasal drip issues. But having the ops has heightened my sense of smell towards perfume and aftershave to the extent that I canāt tolerate smelling either. I often mutter - to myself - when walking past someone āphwoar, have you marinated in that?ā
Would I have it done again? Absolutely not.
Iāve got a deviated septum but no operation was mentioned and after reading what you posted Iām kind of glad.
There are times when having a constantly blocked nose is beneficial ⦠you know, niffy socks, flatulence etc etc ā¦
Yup, wouldnāt advise it.
I read that drinking beer is bad for your health and that one beer does take one day off your life. According to the calculations I died on the 18 March 1854, it was a Saturday.
I have over the years googled all my medical symptoms, so far I have been diagnosed with the plague, Beri Beri, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Swine Flu, dandruff and an ingrowing toenail.
Having actually survived a plague, i.e Covid I totally understand why Italian Renaissance paintings are full of naked fat people laying on couches, I am wearing Y fronts though.
Iām a mouth breather too. After reading your post, Iāll stay tuned⦠better days ahead.
