Bob Marley & Various Reggae Artists

Just LOVE Bon Marley
I have bought ‘ Legend’ three times as it has been stolen twice .
Apparently the most stolen CD ( yes I still have CDs )

Great album Muddy, make sure you lock it up or better still make a copy and put the original away.

Perhaps one of Marley’s finest songs - certainly one of my favourites.

Redemption Song

Hot summers in the 70’s.

Another from Brum before they sold their soul.

And the dub version:

Been to a couple of Handsworth Blues Parties, was always strange why Reggae was thumping out at a Blues Party.

Yes we Brits had a go at singing a bit of Reggae here’s the best we could come up with, (Johnathon King the comedian of pop)

Nah just kidding we did not do to bad Madness/UB40 and a few Northern Soul groups were decent.

I personally think we did not treat Reggae with the respect it deserved like the Jamaicans did.
Our groups was more about creating a beat.
Theirs was to enjoy the music and sing it from the heart.

I miss Bob Marley and those carefree funky days: summers were long, the spliffs were big and the beat went on.
