Blue Moon coming

Same here clumsy. It’s beautiful.
About an hour ago it seemed to be sitting only just above the fence at the bottom of my garden.

Just been for my late walk with Chloe and the moon is beautiful

The moon is looking beautiful at the moment, almost glowing…

Too cold to stand out there for long looking at the moon, but I have had a quick look see

Went out to have a look - beautiful round moon - then I took photos!
Given that I am a happy snapper rather than a photographer - I still don’t see why some of these are so distorted - is it light pollution combined with cloud perhaps? Anyway - here they are:-

Looks like the man in the moon’s old sock !

Here is what it looks like now:-

I kept popping out to look last night and the moon looked very bright but no larger tbh. I think my view of it was wrong and it’s best when seen on the horizon. I tried taking a few pics but I think it was just too bright. I’m relying on other members to show some good shots.

This was about the best I could get.

Me too LD  I did notice the moon had a rather lovely and very large and gleaming halo…
Also confused birds were singing early…

I have seen it before at my previous address. Sometimes when driving down the hill, the moon looked huge but then got smaller as I drove to the bottom. There is a name for that effect but I can’t recall it.

Fabulous !

Drunk again? That’s the street light

This was taken by a friend at Volcanoes National Park on the big island of Hawai’i (one of my favorite places on the planet). The crater is the Halema’uma’u, which has been active since 2008.

It was beauty here.
