Black Thursday & Bloody Friday

I know today is Friday, but back in 1929. October 24th was a Thursday & the Dow Jones dropped 12.8% marking the start of the stock market crash & becoming known as Black Thursday.

And back in 2008, October 24th became Bloody Friday when values, across the world, fell by around 10%.

I had not realised they occurred on the same date. Fascinating. And amazing how the combined efforts of the world’s politicians, financiers, industrialists and tech leaders have not managed to achieve the same result this year. Sometimes it seems that such a goal is their primary objective.
