And really sad … Nick Drake, died from an antidepressant overdose, very very young. Perhaps his tunes, more than most, betray his private melancholia.
Oh I shall be getting sad soon … this kind of music is so stirring and beautiful but really tugs at your emotions so can be a bit too much if you’re in a low mood.
I’d forgotten about them … atmospheric.
To be candid I’ve never heard of Nick Drake before… thanks for the heads up though!
Track 5: Forever Autumn - Justin Hayward
That’s a nice tune too … one or two Moody Blues songs spring to mind now come to think of it.
Like this one …aptly named …
I’m A Melancholy Man
It makes me incredibly homesick. Waterloo sunsets really are a thing, we’d often walk down and watch the sunset over the Thames
I very often listen to James Taylor. He has a lovely mellow, soothing voice.
Track 5: The Streets ot Laredo.
Doesn’t have to be Johnny Cash.
Track 6: Remote Control -The Clash, still sends shivers down my spine.
Track 7: Bermuda Triangle Blues - Blondie
