I used to love this too! Not as much a fan of the film but what a classic show
So many old British comedies I used to love, but these are from the 70s when I was a real TV addict!

It was considered by some to be racist. The Independent Television Authority certainly thought so and the show was cancelled. It’s in a similar vein to Till Death Us Do Part, not surprising since Johnny Speight wrote both of them.I find it very funny!

I don’t remember Curry & Chips either.
I wouldn’t actually remember it from the time, it’d have been broadcast after I was in bed!
I don’t know how the cast managed to keep a straight face during filming
Just as aside I had a look on Amazon. The DVD now costs forty two quid! 
I bought mine about ten years ago, no way was it that much. Just goes to show that some DVDS can become collectors items.
