Pretty certain this is fungi, but if someone knows it isn’t, please remove the pic.
I can’t check it as the stump was removed a while ago.

I believe it to be a Lichen it’s a algae that needs fungus to survive…tricky huh :wink:

I found this fried egg Fungus today.
Can find no reference for it anywhere though it closely resembles Ganoderma lucidum.
The problem with that is that Ganoderma is native to North America
