On October 23, 1965, A Lover’s Concerto, performed by The Toys became the best selling song on the Cashbox charts.
The number one spot the week before, October 16th was “Yesterday” by The Beatles.
The Beatles song reclaimed the top spot a week later on this day, October 30, 1965
