That has been going on for years. I see they’re looking at a Japanese 4 engine float plane too. What’s with your total enthrallment with old antique obsolete 747’s that’s out of production. State of Washington doesn’t like the Donald so they closed the plant. A commercial cargo plane. The passenger plane had ended years earlier.

Its all about Narcissism and being top dog on the pile of crap. 2 engine passenger aircraft are the future mostly. But of course the Faster than Sound passenger plane is in the planning.
Commercial aircraft in the US means Boeing. This company has made a few good decisions in recent decades - mainly not doing things such as supersonic commercial aircraft and opting not to build a competitor to the Airbus A380. It has also made bad decision - mainly outsourcing & subcontracting so much of their production. This meant loss of control over build quality. It proved to be a damaging false saving .They have also opted out of the smaller twin engine aircraft and leaving that market to be dominated by Embraer and Airbus.
As an aside, large supersonic commercial aircraft won’t be happening any time soon. There are two possibly insurmountable problems - making it economically viable (would need a completely new type of engine) and overcoming the sonic boom problem.
Hi
It is best not to think of AF1 as a Plane, but as a mobile Command Centre for the most important Military in the World.
The entire USA Military can be controlled from it, from a sniper attack to a Nuclear Launch
The most expensive new Boeing 787 costs 355 million$, the new AFI is costing several $ Billion.
They are entirely differen Animals.
9 of the 14 largest aircraft manufacturers are American.
8 of the 14 largest aircraft manufacturers have the largest sales
There are no supersonic passenger planes in service and only one company has any in development program, which is an American company. Estimated to be in service in 2028.
So, the aircraft industry in the US isn’t in any real threat.

That certainly has to be the case when you have a country with a trillion dollar a year defense budget. So no surprise there.
We don’t needs planes,we can walk to local our local shops or towns, We don’t need aircraft to get from one side of our country to the other
We don’t have other countries stuck to each end of our country like limpits
We don’t have to shout about having the biggest or best. We don’t salute a bit of cloth hanging from a pole, We don’t have to being kept reminded us of which country we live in because we already know.
We don’t carry guns to protect ourselves. WE have footpaths that we can legally walk on, even across farmers fields. We don’t eat food stuffed with artifical chemicals . We have a history going back thousands of years not just a couple of hundred.
These are just some of the reasons that make our country being great wiithout boasting about it, And to finish up with, without us americans would have to make up their own language

Hi
Absolutely Brilliant Realspeed.
Supersonic air transportation would be great for flying across the oceans, but yeah, it wouldn’t be acceptable for domestic flights. I remember sonic booms from when I was a kid. I lived near an air force base and they were regular occurrences.

It’s obsolete and out of production also. See Time puts them in the Tank.

AFF1 is powered to fly faster than sound. But is so obsolete.
The Supreme Court says the POTUS can do as he pleases if doing his Job so only beefers would be heard if he went across the USA breaking windows.
This is not meant as a Donald thing, but Supreme Court has decided and ruled, any POTUS can do as he wants.
They are trying to though.
And yet no one needs planes but there are over 600 domestic flights within the UK. Maybe everyone doesn’t know that.
Wondering which country you are talking about? England, Wales or maybe northern Ireland or Scotland? But, everyone may not know that.
But if you did, what would it be?
That is humorous as many foreign flags were being flow here during the Soccer play offs. And don’t, what ever you do look at the protest that are happening all across the UK flying their countries flags. But other than that, good point.
This is true. But that was once a proud and powerful kingdom. The sun never sets on the British Empire, but those days are now recorded in history books. But, one would have to look at that history in detail. Colonization, slavery and they brutality of the people of all those conquered territories.
I like that one, yes England brought slavery to North America, basically everywhere they went. Ya, you can call it English but it just being the closest language. We use Spanish, French, and a lot of Asia languages.
Isn’t amazing how stading up for ones own country the UK being the best place to live upsets our American friends so much
Now I am not saying anything anti American but I do have to wonder why they have to be told in detail about most things
Such as “side walk” instead of pavement. This instructs them exactly where they can legally walk along a road
We say Horse riding not like Americans who say horse back riding so they know where to sit on a horse .
We say toilet Americans say rest room not actually it is used for
then also restricted where to cross a road as they banned J walking to try and stop them being hit by a vehicle.
We say petrol , Americans say gas instead which actually is not a liquid, no wonder they get confused.
Then they do tend to talk loudly, maybe the country is so big they have to do this so they are heard
of course they did buy London Bridge thinking they were getting Tower Bridge, never mind better luck next time, bless their little hearts
Of course Americans are dreamers, dreaming about a better future. Here in the UK we don’t have such dreams as we are awake

words originating from French and Latin make up 29% of the English language
from the 1000 most commonly used words, almost 50% have French origins

Quick English lesson:
In American English, “restroom” commonly denotes a facility featuring toilets and sinks designed for use by the public, but “restroom” and “bathroom” are often used interchangeably for any room with a toilet (both in public and in private homes). “Restroom” is considered by some to be slightly more formal or polite.
commonly known as horse riding (Commonwealth English) or horseback riding (American English).
The term jay-walking originated in the United States as a derivation of the phrase jay-driver (the word jay meaning a greenhorn, or rube), referring to people who drove horse-drawn carriages and automobiles on the wrong side of the road.
Gasoline is called that because it comes from “gasolene,” a 19th-century British trade name combining “gas” (from coal gas or lighting oil) and the chemical suffixes “-ol” and “-ine.” The term evolved from a fuel brand called “Cazeline,” which later changed to “Gasoline” in the United States.
dreams and goals are the two aspects that motivate human and cause him to advance. It directs our life by encouraging and motivating us towards change and progress in every sector of life.
And that is why the world is passing them by. But, it’s understandable when people have no say and everything is decided for them and given to them. They have no hope and dreams to improve.

Without the USA you ‘former Englishmen now Reich slaves’ would be having Adolphs Cousins & kids crapping in your rivers.
The Brits have got more to thank Russia for than the USA in defeating Hitler.

The USA came into the second world war two years after it started. Late yet again. I get a bit fed up with hearing how great America is when actually they are not. Having ancestory going back to the celtic times, father side from wales and mother side from cornwall, I am proud to be English,. but don’t go around shouting about it.
Just thinking of what we have invented and given to the world and struggling to think of Americas contribution.
Don’t get me wrong, the people we met when in America were the nicest one could wish to meet.
It is those who shout about how great America is are usually the most ignorant ones

It’s because the UK declared war on Germany. That’s a fact. And accomplishing next to nothing.
Germany declared war on the US, another fact.
Ya, you don’t want to get into WW I and WW II or the Revolutionary war.
The sad thing about your clip, they can vote, they are California and they are Democrats. Welcome to the American education system.
