Ha ha - your life must be one of constant disappointment.
If I could tell my 10 y/o self something, it would be to get the %$#@! away from your parents if you want to have any semblance of a happy life.
Of course, there’s no way I could have followed that advice. We’re completely dependent on our parents at that age.

My advice to my younger self would have been encouraging me to continue to use common sense. I don’t regret any of my younger year choices except one.
I do wish I had been more openly compassionate to my friends. They needed the encouragement to know other friends were behind them, mistakes or good choices. Luckily, during the 60’s, I hung out with friends of all backgrounds, as they helped me become a better person for it.
