A stop at Grundafjordur

Day 7 of our cruise took us to Grundafjordur, a small town on the westerly side of Iceland. This was a bit of a disappointment, because all there is is a few cafe’s a souvenir shop and a supermarket, and virtually nothing else apart from scenery. I’m not sure why we were there. We got off, a quick wander around, buy some odds and ends in the supermarket and back on the boat. There again, we knew that as we had been here before on our last trip to Iceland. But I caught a few snaps while there…

Is that the ship you were on in the first photo? Looks much smaller than the massive cruise liners you see in the Pacific. Was it better perhaps?
