The Legalise Cannabis Party has introduced a bill into the Victorian, NSW and WA Parliaments which would legalise the possession of up to 50gms of Cannabis by an adult and allow a household to grow up to 6 plants.
The ACT already has a similar law.
The party claims it wants to take the control of cannabis out of the hands of organised crime.
a friend of my family was a quite well known Doctor
and he told me in the early sixties that within ten years [erm the seventies] alcohol would be banned and cannabis legalised, because of the damage done to the human body by alcohol, whereas the only problem with cannabis was how it was delivered [cigarettes]
but he never considered just how much each govt realises on the tax from alcohol, nor the actual damage to the human body from cigarettes…but at some point Cannabis will be legalised…
Yeah, this bill could really shift things, about time too. Most people still think “legal weed” means just getting high, but there’s a whole side to it that’s medical and actually helpful. Like, I’ve used THC-based oil through a clinic here in the UK for pain management, and it’s honestly been more effective than anything my GP gave me. If anyone’s curious where to get it legally, through proper channels, not some sketchy jar off the internet, here’s the shop I use for THC for pain, all prescription-based and above board.
