Thank you d00d!
I’m actually quite glad you said that, it’s the image I’m going to use on my business card. Well more of an ice breaker than a business card.
She was a large doll set up in an old fireplace in my old haunted local. They tend to celebrate the macabre which I like.
I think I shot her at 2.8 which explains the lack of any distractions in the background.
The light was fading, the sun was going down in the window to the right.
Took the trusty K1000 loaded with Ilford HP5 pushed to 800. All rather experimental, I’m hoping some of the flaring from the street lights might will enhance the moodiness of the black and white images.
I shall just have to wait and see…
Yes, I was able to do that with the tripod and cable release.
Although I experimented by using a larger aperture for a couple of shots focusing on the middle ground, the intention being to slightly keep the immediate foreground and background a little out of focus.
I wasn’t concerned about the streetlights as much in those particular shots. Largely this is about atmosphere d00d.
Foggy can be good although not a hint of fog this morning. Looking through the viewfinder I could see a kind of beam effect coming from the lights rather than starbursts, hard to explain, I’ll just have to wait and see.
Cokin used to sell starburst filters. A bit overwhelming if not used with discretion.
Can’t wait to get involved and take some piccies
It won’t be too long until Easter, outdoor events will start to kick in, local bands will start gigging again outside our local, bring it on.
I don’t buy stuff at the drop of a hat, however I’ve been making some very carefully considered purchases from reputable sellers on eBay. Vintage lenses can be a bit of a nightmare as far as the dreaded fungus is concerned!
