3 x 70s songs which I like very much

A masterpiece disguised as pop music. I was 16 when I heard it for the first time and I was as impressed back then - and I still am. A truly timeless beauty.
I was always overwhelmed by this beautiful song, Kate’s voice is so extremely high and pitchy it moves something. That said, her ballet moves in this clip are remarkable. At the end of the video, Kate’s “Waving Tree in the wind” is an absolute fantastic performance!
Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush 1978

Simple melodious song, easy to understand and sing along to.
The 70’s had many simple songs.
Brand New Key - Melanie 1971

The first video Christie ever made, featuring their worldwide smash, Yellow River.
This is one of only two clips made with original drummer Mike Blakley.

I love the book, it was the only one I enjoyed studying at school.

Loved this to bits, still do! I’d nag my mum for a pair of silver stacked heeled boots for school. The answer was a definite no! Anyway, after explaining that they didn’t make them in a size that would fit an eleven year old my hopes were dashed! :sob:

Nice and cheesy but what a catchy song!

And then punk kicked in! :+1:

Oh yes, the band Sweet, I vaguely remember them. Definitely remember The Rubettes with Sugar Baby Love.
